4k rendering issues - Windows 10?

Hi

I started a thread on 4K general tips here

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/showmessage.asp?forumid=4&messageid=915037

However I noticed some issues on Windows 10 and didn't want to pollute that thread until we've worked through with others.

I tried the 3 different 4k formats on some Go Pro Black 4 footage since upgrading to Windows 10 and noticed some odd issues. In some original clips rendered from a "region" of timeline event Vegas seemed to hang. On other clips the rendered file ( either MXF or MP4 ) didn't appear to play correctly e.g. a 3 second clip might play the first half a second and then freeze.I tried playing the clips on VLC player after rendering

Is anyone experiencing similar issues? Have others managed to render Go Pro 4k 30FPS files in Windows 10? Did you use any different custom settings from the standard 4k templates?

Also slightly related did you manage to upload the clips to YouTube and play back in 4k mode without any issues?

Many thanks

Matt

Could anyone confirm whether they can successfully render using Sony Vegas 13 4K GoPro black files to a 4K format? I can't seem to get any to render without hanging.

Thanks

A bit more googling and I find the answer at least in my case. I had to disable GPU video rendering and use the CPU which then worked fine.

What does your system configuration look like?

CPU
RAM
motherboard / desktop / laptop make
GPU make and model, driver version
Version and build of Vegas

Are you converting all your media to XAVC-I for editing and rendering from?
