No problem with the AX100 4K footage. I think it actually works better then 1080HD files.

hmmm now it seems hit and miss... some clips crash it, some don't. seems maybe the longer ones crash it: 2.5 minutes or so... still testing. Smoke, want to try one on your system?

k, ignore my poor quality filming and content... :D

LINK REMOVED

mine crashes stabilizing at about 7%, pretty basic vegas install, with a few new blu plugins...
I've reset my vegas settings to all default, and tried adjusting the preview mem from 0 to 16gb

Same here! Crashed at around 7-8%. I converted it to XAVC-S and XAVC Intra and both did fine. Might be a good idea to transcode the files to XAVC-Intra which also smart renders if that is something you might be interested in.

hmmmm I hate the idea of convert clips - I have 45 mins to sort through to get 30 seconds out of. :) I usually just drop in as is and edit. Maybe I'll convert just the ones that fail.

Hey, thanks for the test! and idea for a fix. much appreciated

Try Mercalli 3.0 SAL, it is much better for stabilizing and handles 4K files. A bit pricy but worth the expense.

oldsmoke, did you convert inside vegas or use gopro cineform or what? This is driving me bonkers. MOST 4k is failing stabilize inside vegas. I've got 32GB ram, and nothing else crashes on my machine (Just vegas), mem tested out okay, tried with GPU off and on, still crapping out.
I guess I'll have to convert, but I've always been a fan of first generation editing :(

I converted inside Vegas. For batch transcoding I use Vegasaur. I have no issue with AX100 4K footage.
