5.1 Channel mix-up

Hi,

I am loading 5.1 clips from a either a Sony FDR-AX33 or an older HDR-CX7 into Sony Vegas Pro 15 on Win10.

If I leave the project audio set to stereo, it loads the clip with the channels downmixed to stereo, but the balance is massively off to the left.

If I set the project audio to 5.1, it loads all 5 channels. If I then mute the front 2 and the back 2, I hear the center channel exclusively in the left ear and the LFE channel exclusively in the right ear.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks...

I'm having the same issue unless I change Audio Device in VP17 preferences from MS Sound Mapper to Direct Sound.

However, this only affects preview. When rendering, everything is as it should be.
