5.1 Soundcard

OK, I know this has been covered in here, and I've searched and thought I made the right choice, BUT...

I just put in a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz 5.1 sound card (replacing a Soundblaster Live 5.1). Loaded the drivers. Seems to work, but when I just put audio into the center channel, it comes out of the left. I know what you're saying "the plugs are in the wrong jacks." I've tried every combination, and it doesn't do the trick. Something is screwed up.

I don't need a big high end sound card, I know my tracks sound good, I monitor through my Mackie HR824s through the whole process, until I start mixing to surround.

BTW: When I listen to a 5.1 mix through the stereo pair, it ALSO pans the center channel to the left side....

Internal bug?

Try going into your SantaCruz control panel and going to the last Tab that says other, Put a tick in the middle box that says enable multiple wave out device, Hope that helps you.

I've done that, and now I've got the center, left and right channels working properly, but when I send a signal to the surround channels, it sends the left surround to the sub, and the right surround to the center channel...

I'm starting to think maybe it's the speakers? I don't know...they're Altec Lansing Model 251. They're the best sounding speakers in their price range, but maybe they're wired differently? I don't know.

HELP!

Is there any jumpers on the sound card? I just bought my sister a new surround sound card and on the card there were jumpers for switching how the outputs worked.
