5.2 sluggish

The UI is my problem here. I do not get instantaneous response from keystrokes, such as when I'm using the arrow keys to scroll through items in a picture compilation project.
That is, I select a different picture, and the new one does not immediately appear in the main window. The delay is even more pronounced in the Crop and Adjust window.
This is true, regardless of computer power or operating system.

I think I'll roll back to 5.0 and await further instructions.

Have you tried installing both side-by-side?

You might also download Mark Russinovich's SysInternals suite, and run Process Explorer and Process Monitor. Might give some insight as to system resources each is consuming.

I always keep old versions installed.

Thanks for the tip about SysInternals. Maybe that will help.

I have the same problem except its sluggish with most everything. If I press the "preview dvd" it will take 10 seconds to show the menu in the preview window.

Im running Windows XP home.
