6.0a update already?

I'm-a confused. On the Updates page there's a link to Vegas 6 and the download page lists it as 6.0a, even includng notes on improved features. I assume this is what it says, an update released the same day as the new version release. Guess there's no harm done in installing it even if it's the same file as the new release of 6.0?

They did this for v5.0 also. Basically, the 6.0 version had to go to the pressing plant for the boxed version to ship on time, while within that 2-4 week period they worked on the minor nuances they didn't have time for in the 6.0 release and you get the 6.0a release on the website for download. You'll want to install the 6.0a update and pass the 6.0 all together.

Dunno. My version is 6a.

I'm just confused over the XDCAM thing. Spot mentioned it specifically in his article so he must have known for sure if it was supported or not. But as you know I cant drag MXF files from XDCAM onto the timeline as yet!

I REALLY want to know what the situation is with this.

Even if you get the box, you WANT 6.0a. There were many fixes made after the CD had to go to press.
