I remember you and your monster computer from the Corel forum. When X3 came out that is when I went shopping. Hope you are as happy with Movie Studio as I have been.

I downloaded the trial and was a little taken back with the interface butafter a few days of playing and not crashing I decided to take the plunge.

Certaiinly a lot more stable than X3 and the Feel is more on the professional side.

Moving clips around and editing is certainly a lot easier..

I am sure their is a lot to learn but will be sticking with it I think...

My lil ol puter seems to be handling it ok :-)

I wish it was 64 bit as well. I built a really powerful computer to use VMS10 and it's way more powerful than the software requires. It does run very well, but it would be nice if it utilized 64 bit and more RAM, etc.

Maybe in the future .. but, for now, the only way to get 64 bit is to go "pro"

Same here.
Formerly "Roberto" user in Corel X3 forum.
Now I decided to give a chance to Sony Platinum, which, I agree with you, looks more professional and offering more functionalities.
Unfortunately the "start of the day" is already troublesome: the download of the bonus material in bundle with the Production Suite never completed and now I am left with 0 download attempt (quite stupid and annoying this idea to count the download attempts!!!)
Now I am waiting for Sony customer service... hope they react quickly...
