7.0a hangs when importing HD

Hi,

Has anyone experienced this problem with 7.0a:

I capture from a Sony HDR-HC1 in the HD format directly into Vegas 7.0a. Everything works fine, no dropped frames, scene detection works fine etc.

However, the application becomes non-responsive (hangs) if I capture past the end of the video material redordec onto the DV-cassette.

I think this is an error since I am able to reproduce it as many times I like. I assume also that no video editing application should hang even if the end of the material on the tape is reached.

Any comments - Sony - or anyone else?

Best regards,

Christian

I've seen this happen a couple times.
Are you getting a catastrophic failure notice if you use Task Manager to shut down Vidcap? I see this on one of my machines on occasion, if there is no T/C for the capture tool to see, it randomly hangs at the end of the capture.
Is this what you're seeing?

Is there any chance that the tape was prestriped in DV? I've noticed that if I use HDVSplit to pull HDV material into my PC, it will do a BSOD if it comes across any DV material on the tape.
