9.0 to 9.0a update

9.0 installed ( both 32 and 64 bit )
installed 9.0a ( only 32 bit for now ) while not uninstalling 9.0 first ( as always since version 7 ) .

Now , when closing vegas9.0a ( while project still in ) , closes and each and every time " vegas has stopped working ".
Re-starting vegas 9.0a , it starts empty ( without the project ).

Exactly same happened to me when upgrading 8 to 8.0a etc...

Should one ( since version 8 ) uninstall first and then install again ( together with serial and activation process ) .

No problem , when this solves this ( nasty ) problem , just some advice would be welcome .

1] I Installed "over". No problem here.

2] Check that the Default for VP9 and VP9a is EITHER Load Empty/New Project OR Load Last Project used? Maybe the default loading has been reversed. No biggie, but good to know where one stands - yeah?

OPTIONS | Preferences | General | General Preferences fist line "Automatically . . . . "

Not much help, but I updated from 9 to 9a without a hitch.

Also just installed x32 without uninstalling. No problems.

Since uninstall+reinstall takes only little time maybe you should do that - and re-download first in case something went wrong in the download...

Thanks for the feedback .
It seems to be related when closing vegas too early.
Loading a veg seems to have changed .
It looks like its loads faster and looks like it is loaded but internally still struggling with something and while then closing vegas -> vegas stops working .
Doing same but waiting , say 1 minute , closes fine.
( I then prefer the bottom percentage load video and audio bar to stay as long as required since that tells at least to be patient till struggling is over , but OK , once known .. ).
I meanwhile the 64bit version also upgraded om my precision double quad nehalem xeon 24Gig RAM dell precision 7500 workstation , this is charming combination ...
