9.0d woes (woah!)

All I have to say about 9.0d is "thank god for system restore." Constant crashes, broken installer, absolute refusal to work with frameserver, what more could you ask for? I know, I probably shouldn't take a pot shot like that without more substantial "documentation," but man, it really feels like SCS is doing a rush job these days. I've been using Vegas since it was "Vegas Audio 2.0", and it seems with each new release my frustration just increases instead of decreases. Oh well. Keep trying, Sony!

I am finding that most of what you are describing as new to V9.0d are installation problems. I have been upgrading a stable of systems. Depending on what Windows is thinking about at the moment, registry entries do not get properly updated or files do not get properly updated. I have found that all problems clear up after an uninstall and a clean reinstall rather than a just an update.

Good Luck.

Frameserver hasn't worked reliably in any flavor of 9.0
Actually, I have been able to get frameserver to work more often on 9d than any previous version of 9. Just unload and turn off everything else you can on the computer and try. Usually works on 2nd or 3rd try.
