It's been confirmed and the problem diagnosed... PLEASE issue a fix already!
The proposed workaround of Rendering out your Text to a Video File is NOT efficient!
I continue to scrub through my project and find SAMPLE TEXT everywhere!
This happens every time I open it to continue my edit. This is WITHOUT the Copy/Paste/Undo scenario... it just happens! -Although looking at it, I think it happens to the Generated Text Media Events that were Copy/Pasted creating another copy
This has got to be the worst BUG I've ever encountered in an NLE. It has seriously cost/lost me days of work due to having to re-do numerous Generated Text Media Events (3hrs today alone). This is the last project I will touch with Vegas until this issue is fixed as it's NOT cost effective to work this way, having to re-do your work so many times over. (people get tired of hearing about other NLE's but it's times like these when I'm soooo glad I have Media Composer, Premiere Pro, & FCP.)
My second set of National PSA's has been scrapped in VP9 & gone to Premiere Pro CS4. It was simply a lot less work, time, and frustration to restart in Premiere as apposed to always having to re-do the Text(s). My current project has a Run Time of 45minutes and we are in the 'Revision Phase' so it would neither be Cost Effective to restart in another NLE and it is getting to the point of where it is costing money to continue the edit due to this bug.
I can see where this may be 'Fun' or not that big of an issue for a beginner or those that do not depend on their NLE to make a living. Well, I use mine to make a living and this one is NOT cutting it.
Also, my Generated text has NO OPTIONS for Left, Center, or Right justification.
Is this option NOT and option for Generated Text Media?
Sony, if you're listening, PLEASE fix the Generated Text SAMPLE TEXT issue soon!
