9d Preference Setting Help Needed

9d seems for real so far to me so I'm actually trying the big move from 8c.
However, little preference settings that I took for granted in 8, I'm finding it difficult to match in 9. You know, you set a preference once months if not years ago and now you have no clue how you did it...

One of the things I love about Vegas is that while the play head is moving I can click
anywhere on the timeline and Vegas will immediately begin playing back at that spot. No hitting the spacebar, just click and go. This works perfectly in 8 but I can't find the preference, tick box, whatever to make this happen in 9.

Erik,
Both 8.0c and 9.0d work exactly the same way for me.

Playing back from the t/l, if I click anywhere on the t/l inside an event, play will NOT resume at that point.

Having said that, if you click in the grey area, just above the time indicator, both v8 and v9 will pick up play at that point.

Perhaps you just weren't clicking in the right spot?? :-)

As mentioned above.
Just click above the timeline ruler and it works. No setting needed.
Hey. that's nice. Never used it myself.

Thanks for the reply Tom. I did realize that you have to click in the gray area above the time line. The fix for me was to close the program and then reopen and it works normally now. Hope that was just a one time thing. I love editing in every way imaginable while the play head is playing.
