A diiferent Pan Crop Question

Hello,
I am using Pan/Crop to zoom in on still images in my movie and I think I am doing it correctly and still cannot understand that when the zoom occurs black borders appear on both sides of the image as the zoom continues.

Here is what I am doing now.

Hit Pan Crop Button
Right Click and click "Match Output Aspect"
On Position timeline go 3/4 of the way down and create a keyframe
Zoom in on the area that I want to the pan crop to zoom in on
Sometimes I hit the "first keyframe" button and sometimes I don't and I still get the encroaching black borders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much,

David

Do these borders cover up some of the picture or are they beyond the edges of the picture?

If they are covering up part of the picture then you didn't do the match output aspect correctly.

If they are outside the picture then you are moving the image around too far in the frame.

They cover up some of the picture. How do I make absolutly sure I am doing the match out put aspect correctly? Any advice you can give me on what you think I might be doing wrong would be appreciated.

Thanks,

David
