A DIRTY trick??? help please !

I installed direct-x 8 and vegas 2.0d as per instructions.

First of all, when I try to add fx to a track, or as a send
effect, I see NO fx in my FX folders!
On the track FX at the top each one says " Unregistered "
In wavelab my dx fx still show up fine.

Can anyone tell me whats going n here?

In sound forge 5.0 all the dx fx show up

But here is something VERY VERY VERY wrong....
In sound Forge 4.5 there are NO direct-x fx...
SF, were you aware of this? If so that is a DIRTY trick,
very nasty. You KNOW we need to leave sound forge 4.5 on
our systems since you guys seem suicidally bent on leaving
out CD architect...
If this is what I think it is this is a terrible shameful
practice!!! SHAME on you!

Hi
Yes I still have everything, All my plugins in SF4.5h,5.0
Acid Pro 2.0b and Vegas Video 2.0d. And that on our 3
systems. Have you tried to drag and drop them into SF work
space to re-register them? I did have to do this with SF
but I've beta some plugins that I had to.

I would try this in SF4.5 and see if they show in SF 4.5
and then check Vegas. Hope this helps

Try dragging the plug-ins from their installation folder on
top the open app. This allows you to manually re- (or un-)
register them using a simple drag-and-drop method- they
should all still work.
