A Great Little Third Party EQ Plugin

Me again.

Back in VP 17 days I downloaded a really nice and useful third party EQ and somehow managed to get it to come up in VP 17's audio FX list. Don't know how I did it but somehow I stumbled on success. This EQ has some features I really like and is free from 2 Sense Audio. You might check it out -- it was recommended by Alex Knickerbocker (who is a pro audio guy) in this video . It makes it easy to sweep across the frequency spectrum to find and isolate problematic sounds and has a built in spectrum analyzer. And it looks kind of cool. And it is free.

I've had no success in getting it to come up in VP18. Do you know what the procedure is?

In case it is helpful: the plug in file that comes up in my VP 17 is in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vst Plugins.

Yes works great in V18. During installation change the VST file path to Vegas VST Plugin Folder and Vegas will pick it up when loading or if already running then go into options and select VST tab and click refresh. Vegas will reload the VST plugins. Thanks Andy. I did not load the AAX option as I did not know what this was going to install Maybe you might know?). Update, the AAX is an alternative to VST so not needed for Vegas.

You may also like to look at LoudMax a free plugin that allows you to easily set max loudness volume I use it to set max background level usually -15bd and max music volume -3bd.

The 'best' free EQ is subjective.

A VST plug-in must be in a common or assigned VST Search folder. (Options> Preferences> VST Effects)

SloTools supports the AAX plug-in format, Vegas does not (AFAIK)..
FWIW, later versions of Sound Forge Pro support ARA plug-ins in addition to the usual VST 2/3 and DX.
