A possible feature to be added?

I'm using MS Plat 15 -- great program. I saw an older post about a feature but thought I'd ask, in case anyone is hearing anything from the proverbial little birdies. A feature I'd like to see would be something that Serif Movie Studio used to have, the ability to manipulate a picture-in-picture to change its apparent perspective. After all, some of the transitions already do this, or something close, in various ways, so I would think the engineering would not be so strange to MS (not that I'm a coder...); not like adding Pro's pen tool or something. Serif used the example, in the manual, of putting a movie in a billboard shot from an angle, but I used it for some titles, animating to make a custom twist and flip. Any idea if this might be on the horizon anywhere?

The nearest to Serif's 2d & 3D Transform is the Deform FX in Vegas MS. But it doesn't do the same as you cannot drag out one corner. Magix Movie Edit Pro Plus (consumer level editor despite its name) has a 3D Distortion FX which does do this. Hopefully MS may get similar but it would need to appear in Vegas Pro first for MS to have it. Maybe Pro already has it but it's considered a "Pro only" feature. I sometimes consider VMS is at a disadvantage to other consumer editors because it's a cut down version of Pro whereas the competitors are designed ground up with the hobbyist/consumer in mind.

Ignite Express from HitFilm can provide this feature -- adjusting all four corners of your video overlay.

https://fxhome.com/ignite-express

It is a FREE suite of plug-ins (works in Vegas & Movie Studio) from fxHome, the makers of HitFilm. There is an effect called "Quad Warp" which will let you stretch the four corners of your insert video in any way you want, so you can apply the kind of perspective needed to match a billboard or whatever.  The suite also includes a lot of other features, including a good chroma keyer, lightning/electricity effects, light sword effects, etc.

25 years ago we called that "corner pinning"

Thanks, Tim. I have downloaded it, and a cursory scan looks terrific. Much obliged!
