A VEGAS Pro 365 Purchasing Question

MH7 wrote on 3/21/2018, 8:38 AM

Okay, so I wrote out a pretty detailed thread/post before this one and accidentally forgot to select a category which resulted in an error, which then, and unfortunately, messed up all what I had typed out. But I think that just proved that I should just get straight to the point.

So, with that said I’ll do just that.

Reading the purchasing details of VEGAS 365 quoted below:

Subscription and cancellation conditions: VEGAS Pro 365 will be available immediately after payment and activation. The charge for the minimum term is payable as a single sum upon conclusion of the contract. The minimum term begins when the product is activated. If you cancel your order within 14 days, you will receive a complete refund. The contractual period of VEGAS Pro 365 will be automatically extended by 12 months at a time until you cancel the agreement. You will be informed well in advance if the extension rate or taxes included change. A cancellation is possible up to 1 month before the end of the contract period.

I’ve highlighted the part in question because I’m curious to know whether I’d have to pay the initial AU$249 upfront for the 12 month option (of which I’d go with) or just the first AU$20.75 monthly instalment. My thoughts have been the for the former, but it’d be good if it was the latter. Any clarification anyone can give me would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @MH7,

I can confirm it is the former. If you click on the button "buy now" you can see that it says "A$249.00".

@VEGAS_CommunityManager | Thanks for that clarification mate! 👍

Now I feel dumb (lol). I could’ve easily checked that myself. Oh well.

Just in relation to the first payment of AU$249, would I pay that amount once per year like Microsoft does with Office 365 or actually monthly as seems to be indicated?

BTW, I apologise for my previous comment (that I removed) but I’m just trying to understand how this subscription works exactly. Whilst it’s indicated that the 12 month term is AU$20.75/month, it seems to be that you pay AU$249 once per year that divides out to AU$20.75/month. If this is the case then may I suggest that you indicate that somewhere for better clarification for everyone.
