A Velocity question?

Hi all!
V9
Right click, insert velocity, then playing with the velocity!
Question is that the audio part remains unchanged.
Is there any way to synchronize both as the motion get slower the audio becomes distorted / slowed down!??

Another question:
I think I didn't understand how the velocity works!
When I apply velocity, the objects sometimes move backward for a short time then began to move forward:)

1. No, in Vegas you can't do that with the audio. I wish vegas could. After Effects can do it, but I've never had the time to really play with the feature.

There is a plugin for Audacity that comes close, but it is limited in that it isn't envelope based.

2. If you drag the velocity envelope right to the bottom of a clip, the clip will play backwards. As you drag it down, the clip will gradually slow until it reaches a velocity of 0 (freeze frame), and then slip into negative values which are reverse motion.

If Vegas 10 could lock video and audio when using a velocity envelop I'll be first in the queue to upgrade.

For the first part, no the audio is not affected by a velocity envelope. You cannot affect the audio the same as the video when using the velocity envelope.

For the second part, sounds like you're moving the velocity point below 0%. The velocity envelope can go from -100% (full speed reverse) up through 0% (freeze frame) up to 300% (3x normal speed)

If you don't mind a sort of choppy audio, you can keep things in sync and slow down the video and audio but not with a velocity envelope.
Grab the end of the event. Hold down the ctrl key (you'll see the cursor display a small squiggly line) and "stretch" the audio and the video while in sync.
