A way of auto-brightness... is there?

Hi all, I was thinking, is it possible to auto-level the brightness for multiple clips in Vegas? What I mean is similar in a sense with compression in audio - a way to add automation in order to always have the highest level of brightness (and/or contrast for that matter) without editing individual clips...

Yes, it sounds and it is lazy... :) But is there such a way?

And by that I mean also your personal workflow procedures...

Auto Levels from SeMW software is your friend.

A technique I use if its shifting light levels in the same shot is I'll split the clip adjust the it with white balance or color curves, then I'll fade it into the portion with the good lightning so it blends well.
