A1U rec. from a vcr

Hello! Am I missing something or is there no way to record from a vcr or tivo to the A1U? The component and A/V are both outputs. USB is for memory stick. The only input I can find is mic input. On all of my other Sony cameras there was a mini 1/8 inch A/V chord input. Thanks in advance. Derek

Derek, I think the only way you're going to get a compliant m2t into your A1 is to do it from Vegas via firewire.

Thanks Spot! I guess I'll have to get my old TRV 950 back from the person I lent it to. I'm just putting some shows we've done on a dvd for my "boss" for his manager (for promo junk) but first I have to get them on a dv tape to capture/edit.

Have fun at NAB. I don't think I'll make it. I'm home for a few days that week, but I don't I'll have time/energy for more traveling. It would be fun meeting everyone though. Derek

If your boss/cohort is willing, I'd love to showcase a few seconds of your work at the NAB party. I think folks would allow it.

It's funny, right after I responded to you, I looked at the schedule for that week, and later that week is actually scheduled in LA (work), so, I was thinking maybe I can come. I'll shoot you an email. Take care, Derek
