Of course this is a big overclock, but it's pretty impressive that a $180 AMD cpu is beating Intels top dog at $1000, and both are overclocked.
Also it's interesting to note that this is the single memory channel socket 754 version. The dual memory controller seems to have little effect on Vegas performance.
You can buy a socket 754 A64 3400+ which is clocked at 2.4GHz stock for $220 and have a very nice Vegas system.
And from what I've been hearing most A64 NewCastle's will reach 2.5GHz or so...
