Aardvark Q10! yeah! ha.

Just picked up my Q10. yessssssssss.

A few things I've been thinking about though:

1. Can I / Should I leave my Delta44 plugged in its PCI slot, and drivers installed, etc. ??
2. Of course, I'll be using this with the latest Vegas 5b. What are my IDEAL settings here, should I be using ASIO for my recording?
3. Any last minute tips? haha.

THANKS
peace out.

1. You *might* have some problems but you'll need to experiment to find out.

2. ASIO is recommended but not required. Again experimenting is the key.

3. Keep experimenting–in a methodical way– ie; document your settings and adjustments for each experiment. Each system is different and you will need to determine what is best for your system and your work style.

I've been using a Q10 with Xp for a year now. No probems except for a few in the beginning ... but only with Sound Forge. They've been addressed.

I'm seeing on various forums that Aardvark is out of business. Here's one thread;

Aardvark appears to be out of business

Anyone else?

I thought they were bought out by sombody - cannot remember who... their web site is up for sale and is in a parked mode - so that should tell us something.

Hmmm, don't know what the deal is, I tried www.aardvark-pro.com - this page has lapsed since 11/06/04. The other address mentioned is there, but - - see below:

I tried to call the office phone number and the FAX line (for good measure) and I received the intercept saying, "The number you have called 734-665-8899 has been temporarily disconnected...".

So I cannot say for sure if they are "in business" or "out-of-business".

Sorry for the confusion... now I AM confused too.
