Ability to set default transition

anyone know if this is an option? Would like to change the standard transition for draging clips to this luminance optical disolve rather than a straight Fade.

I don;t see a way to change the default Sony transition. I can Paste Attributes; I can even right click and use the last few I used. But change the default? If it isn't possible, outside of a script, then maybe make a suggestion?

Dave, I don't remember the hidden seq for getting vegas' system references, but I think you can change it there, all vegas defaults are there if I remember correctly. Of course, you know to be careful editing vegas' core setting, but other than serious users, beginning vegas users should avoid editing vegas system defaults.
