This may be a dumb question, but when you render to AC-3 do you retain sample accurate synchronisation?
I am trying to track down a sync issue in a project at the minute. I have noticed that if I render identical pieces of audio as WAV 2 channel and AC 5.1, DVD Architect 5 displays the 5.1 track about half a frame behind the WAV. What exactly is happening here? Is this just a quirk of how DVD Architect displays AC-3s, and are they in fact in sync? Or do AC3s have a certain read ahead that means they are displayed behind the correct sample in DVD architect when they should in fact be compensated for?
What is going on here?
Cheers.
