Hello, I would like to know the following; Vegas pro, is it capable of exporting ac3 5.1, DTS or DTS-HD 5.1 audio? Do I need any plugin or external software to be able to export ac3 5.1 audio in Vegas pro?
Thank you very much, where can I download a trial version of this software? Well, I would like to try it, see if it works. What surprises me is that from what I read on the internet, in previous versions of Vegas, it was possible to export in ac3 5.1 without any problem, without installing plugins or other software. But in the latest versions, apparently it doesn't work on its own
The VEGAS line of products uses native Windows tools for stereo AC-3 encoding and decoding. It is not possible to encode 5.1 AC-3 files since they are not supported through the operating system.
But in previous versions of Vegas it was possible to export AC3 5.1. I'm talking about exporting ac3 5.1, not importing, and I have read, and in fact a friend of mine has version 15 of Vegas and he can export ac3 5.1 without any problem, yes, limited to 448 kbps
Happy Otter Script is one of the only external applications that can export AC3 5.1 audio directly from the Vegas timeline. She can also import this type of audio into the Vegas timeline, in addition to many other amazing things. It is an investment worth every penny.
@wwaag ... Does the HOS AC3 options give as many settings options as were previously available in AC3-Pro like LFE cross-over? Currently, I'm looking at copy/pasting all audio tracks from VP18 back to VP16 (with the AC3-Pro workaround) and doing the AC3-Pro render from there.
I am at a complete loss as to why I can easily render AC3 files in VP15 but VP18 has the option to render it but can't download the needed files.
Someone please tell me they are working to patch this? I need AC3 for surround sound on DVDs and Blu-rays. Is there another format that I can use when rendering to DVDs and Blu-rays?
