Is this another of the little strangenesses of Vegas and DVDA or my cluelessness? After rendering an audio track to .ac3 format, that is actually recommended for use in DVDA (since it does not need to be recompressed) I can't use this track on a Vegas timelline.

Similarly I noticed, that extracting VOB's in Womble to .mpv and .mpa files, allows me to reassemble them in Womble, but I cn neither drop them in DVDA and/or use them on the Vegas timeline unless I transcode them in some daylong process.

Bad software or human failure on my part?
