Ac3 settings

Can you adjust the ac3 encode settings from within DVD-A? If I import wave files, is there a way to set the 2ch ac3 settings? If not, what is the default ac3 setting for 2 ch and 5.1?

You cannot adjust the AC-3 encode settings in DVDA. DVD-A uses the same settings as "Stereo DVD" and "5.1 Surround DVD" templates provided by the AC-3 encoder in Vegas.

I didn't load VV4--what are the default encode rates for 5.1 and stereo, if I might ask?

The default bitrate for 5.1 is 448 Kbps and the default bitrate for stereo is 192 Kbps.
