Yes, I've been here before. But now I'm I wanting to learn from "others" experience of connecting up their devices to the Canopus ACEDVio card.
OK, here's what I've got ... .
1 - ACEDVio
* AV - INS and OUTS
* Audio INS and OUTS
* 4-pin f/w .. or 6-pin
2 - Old and nasty Hitachi VHS VCR ... usual stuff on rear
3 - Ext Monitor/TV
4 - Panasonic miniDV and BIGDV tapes [ this is a fine beast anybody using this? Old versions welcome NV-DV 10000 ]
* Front 4-pin f/w
* Rear loads of INS and OUTS
Q1 - What is your preferred connection scheme for getting ExtMon from Vegas?
Q2 - What is your preferred connection scheme for getting PTT to DV and VHS? .. not necessarily AT the same time, of course!
Q3 - What is your preferred connection scheme for capturing DV and VHS? .. again NOT at the same time, of course!
I've got it on good authority that one can't have the ACEDVio being used for both at the same time - er yes? I know this! But, apart from digging around at the back and plugging and unplugging the same, how do YOU do it?
I've had help from one of our friends here - it has meant me needing to "disregard" the ACEDVio apart from it being a way IN for f/w, and with the future "need" to have a switch" to bring online any VHS stuff I need to route into or out of Vegas to VHS.
TIA
Grazie
