Thanks John!

Well that cured ALL my Media Manager Problems. It's working BACK in Vegas. It did install MM2.1 .

ACID6 looks amazing on screen too - I'm heading over to the AP6 forum now to hear from the "real" users of it . .

I got me MM back! I got me MM back!

I’m glad this cured your Media Manager problems. Did you notice how much faster it loads? It is really hard to tell if it’s on or off now. The Sony team has done an outstanding job at fine tuning the Media Manager this time.

Yes it does John, it does indeed. It loads much faster. I'm enjoying the instruction you gave Peter. Tip-Top advise, might I say.

Best regards,

Just got my $129 upgrade offer in the mail. Looks good. Think I'll do the trial first -- special upgrade pricing lasts until May 31st.

Anyone know if Vegas owners can have some lower priced upgrade?

It was mentioned (or questioned) before, that since many Vegas users are using it mainly for Audio, the logical progression is to switch over to Acid for audio, now that it incorporates multitrack recording.

Someone just posted on the ACID Forum that Safe Harbor has the upgrade for $99. They are a reputable dealer so this looks like the best deal right now.

As strict as Sony is how does harbor get away with selling it 30 bucks cheaper?

Are the posters saying that downloading the trial of Acid Pro 6.0 fixes problems with Media Manager in Vegas 6.0d?

If so, does not buying Acid Pro after the trial period turn the Vegas Media Manager back into a pumpkin?

That's not up to Sony as much as it's up to the feds.

Apple got hammered good years ago when trying to control reseller prices.

Of course they can still control this indirectly in sneaky ways, but it's to Sony's credit that they haven't.

Cheers for Sony!

Grazie, dude (sorry, I assume "dude")!

So glad to hear your MM is running now. Actually glad that I don't have to think about what else you can try to get it working!

Just ordered AcidPro6.0 from Safe Harbor. Maybe I'll use MM now, I hear it is much quicker with the new version.

Dave? Too funny!! .. . "Grazie, dude (sorry, I assume "dude")!" Yup, guilty as charged!

. .and this . .

"So glad to hear your MM is running now. Actually glad that I "

ACIDPro6 comes with a new version of MM, Media Manager2.1 - so maybe just maybe all the fuss I had over my "issue" and your assistance in some way feedback via here, shows and emailing to have the Madders review just exactly WHAT needed to be done? What I'm saying, Dave, maybe you too had a part in getting this working again - as sure as eggs is eggs I didn't do anything! System is still the same.
