Acid to Vegas? Speed drop? Why?

Just been p[layimng with the Loops that came with SPOT's book, I ran upa 3min item in ACID; rendered; brought into Vegas and the Speed has dropped. . . hmmm?

Also I've got the rendered Audio showing a "91.7%" in the bottom far right corner of the Acid clip in Vegas . . hmmm?

Anyways as a quick uping the tempo i did a Ctrl Drag inwards to "squash" the audio clip and it speeded up the clip . . weird?

Oh the clip? The clip is great!

Grazie

Going between Vegas and Sound Forge I have had pitch changes that were caused by different settings in the 44.1 and 48 kHz department. These apps are so accommodating they play things like they think I want to hear them instead of paying attention to what I really like to hear.

> Audio showing a "91.7%"

That’s because the ACID tempo information imbedded in the audio doesn’t match the tempo of your Vegas project so Vegas is stretching it. Right click on the audio event and select Properties. In the Time stretch / pich shift section it will show the Original tempo and the New tempo (which is your project tempo). If you don’t want the audio stretched, you can change the project tempo to match the audio tempo or change the New tempo to match the Original tempo, or just select none as the stretch Method depending on what it is you are trying to achieve.

JR thank you. Now, is this info in a manual somewhere? If not how did you "stumble" on it?

A BIG thank you though . .
