Activation Code Locks Me Out of Program

I redownloaded Sony Movie Studio Platnium 13 because some of my videos I tried making were being corrupted (screen glitches).

I reinstalled it (I have a CD version from Staples) and when I lauched the program it asked for an activation code. I put in the one that the CD came with and it said that "This application will restart to complete the upgrade procces". Then a few seconds later it just opens up the same text asking for my activation code. The program has not "restarted" in any way. If anyone can tell me how to fix this it would be greatly appreiciated. After all I spent around $100 on this program.

What did Staples say about it? My Sony Movie Studio 13 Platinum never asked for an activation code, rather it asked for a serial number.

You can still purchase Magix Vegas Movie Studio 13 Platinum + a free version 14 (scheduled to release in February) for $59.95 USD.

I think it was a serial number instead. But I never talked to Staples about it. (And screw buying it a second time).

I wasn't suggesting that you buy it a second time, I wouldn't either. Over the years I have made many purchases from Staples, both online and at their stores. Any problem I had, they quickly rectified with wither a refund or a replacement. If you prefer not to follow the instructions posted in the thread that Dr. Zen provided by modifying the Windows Registry, I would discuss it with Staples. If they refund your purchase, you are then covered to purchase it direct from Magix at a substantial savings (offer expires this month).

You may then have the same problem, some user are having problems, others are not. Good Luck with getting it validated and running.

I have a new problem now. (I'm getting really f#cking pissed off now). The program works now. But for some reason when I render (make) a new video it only includes one segment of audio. And not the one under it. I can hear both audio tracks while editing but as soon as I make the video only one of the audio tracks actually works. I replaced the position of both tracks with each other. And the other one doesn't work. For some reason only the top audio track actually works. And the several other spots don't apparently.

This is a totally un-related problem to the one I gave you a successful solution for. In the future, it would be better to create a new forum thread.

Your new problem is just a settings problem. You have set your Project Properties for Audio to 5.1 Surround Sound. When you do this, you need to also render to a profile that also supports 5.1 Surround Sound. If you render to a normal Stereo output, some of the audio tracks will be missing.

If you change your Project Properties for Audio to STEREO and render to a Stereo output, all your audio will be rendered together.
