Active X sound plug-ins missing in 32 bit version

I post this here just in case someone happens to know a solution. I have had this for some weeks, and today I finally had some spare time to follow Sony Support's advice.
I have finally, as the last solution, uninstalled all Sony Applications, deleted all Sony folders and Removed all Sony keys in Registry and uninstalled the -Net framework to boot - all in accordance with the Sony Support advice.

Then I installed only Vegas 9c 32 bit.
My plug-ins are still missing..
You can see them here: My 32 bit plug-ins
As you see - no FX sound plug-ins.
I do not expect a solution by posting here, but you never know, maybe I will have some luck! I cannot live with the 32 bit version not having these sound plug-ins. The 64 bit version is fine.

I have narrowed down the issue. The ActiveX DLLs are not properly registered. I can successfully register the xpvinyl.dll. After this, it shows up in the plug-ins list in Vegas. The others fail however, look here:

I now wonder why most, but not all, of the 32 bit sound plug-ins fail to self-register with my Vista 64.
BTW, I have searched the Internet for the errorcode in question, but with only a few hits. Supposedly there is an access denied in Registry. But I used Processmon (SysInternals) and found no such when trying to register the DLLs.

To avoid you having yet another sleepless night, worrying about my unsolved problems with the sound plug-ins, I can inform you that I have reformatted my harddrive and installed my Vista 64 from scratch. The very first thing I carried out on my fresh new OS, was to install all my Sony Creative software. And all went flawless. All plug-ins are there. My registry was rotten, obviously. I tried several registry cleaners, did not help. Well, case closed in other words!

thanks for that, and glad you're up and running again....

i, like many others i'm sure, read posts such as this, though without any idea of how to help. when a solution does turn up, either self-corrected, or by another member, it's always gratifying, both to the original poster and those of us curious to know as much as we can about vegas's 'foibles'.

Thanks for this, Leslie!
I was rather down yesterday, facing hours of work installing Vista, drivers etc. Luckily, I keep all my work on separated drives, and have a well organized system ( a separate USB drive) for any application I ever install, any driver, etc. So it went ranter smooth after all.
What I have now, is a clean fast system, running DVD Architect, CD Architect, Vegas 32 and 64 and not the least Sound Forge 10.
Sound Forge 10 is a killer, comes bundled with several iZotope Mastering effects. Absolutely recommended for sound work.
