Across time will replace the current event, add as take creates a new event over the original and you can toggle between the two. The object is to allow different "takes" of a scene or graphics until you decide which you want in the final product.
Thanks for the info! I've only been using right click so I can select "video only" and putting the clip in a blank spot, so couldn't see any difference. I see now either option could be useful.
@RgVideo ... 'The Solution' is usually given to the forum member who provided the solution/explanation; in this case it was DMT3 who provided the explanation.
Oops. Tried to correct. Will pay more attention to what I l click next time.😀

@RgVideo Weird i've just been going through this as i've been ignoring Takes, whatever they are, but the Help file did make sense after a bit of trial n error, Right click n grab a few files & drop them on the timeline, add as Takes, it'll only load one onto the timeline but if you right click on it there's an option Takes & you can pick any of the ones you dragged on, also at the top of that event on the timeline there's no's like (4/4) showing that it's a Take
@Former user Thanks for posting your info. Before I posted my question I searched the manual for "take", but didn't find any info. Guess I'd better use the Help file next time. :)
