Add HitFilm effect?

studiolynga wrote on 9/24/2020, 5:13 AM

Does the "open in HitFilm" or "add HitFilm effect" still work in VP18?

I can't get it to work by right-clicking the file, there are no options available, like there used to be.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled HitFilm after the VegasPro18 installation.

This used to help, but apparently not so now.

I have the latest upgrade of HitFilm Pro 15.

@studiolynga  ... If you have Vegas Pro 17, go to C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 17.0 directory and copy HitFilm.fio2007-config and copy it into the VEGAS Pro 18.0 directory. Et voila. 'Edit in HitFilm' should now appear in the context window when a video event is R clicked.

That file should also be in Vegas Pro 16's folder as well - but I'm not sure about earlier Vegas Pro versions.

I tried to find the post and comments about this from early August, but the forum Search function does't seem to be working at the moment.

Thanks, that worked well.

(I can't help to wonder why the file isn't in the Vegas 18 directory to start with though.)
