Add new events with small gap between them?

I've searched high and low and I'm sure this must have been covered somewhere but I can't find it so...

How can I insert multiple audio events (like a group of songs for an album) with a short (1/4 second) gap between them so that when I 'lay out audio CD' it will put them all on a different track when I burn the CD.

I can do it individually but when I have a group of 23 finished songs, I just want to drag them to the timeline and have a gap between them.

Can't seem to find the 'tick' on this one. Any help?

Goto OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>EDITING>DEFAULT TIME BETWEEN CD TRACKS.
Set the time you want the tracks to be spaced. Goto the media pool, right click on the event you want to add, and select "Add as CD Track". Or you can select multiple tracks in the media pool and have them added all at the same time, and it will use the default spacing you specified.

Someone else comment a while ago that you can put numbers in the comment field corresponding to the track for the song. Be sure and enter the numbers with leading zeros like 01 02 ... 10 11 and then click on the header bar over the comment field and they will be sorted by track number. You can now select all the songs and put them on the timeline as cd tracks at once in track order. Kinda neat actually.
