What have you tried so far?

I was thinking about using the slip or slide tools but I think I might mess it up.

Jason, sorry but your question is too non-specific for me to offer any advice. Maybe others can help.

Find your split area for insertion. Make all files before the insertion a group. Make all files after the insertion a group. Move the last group and insert your files. You can then ungroup if you want.

Thanks! My noob mind wouldn't of thought of that.

As Dot stated, you really need to be more specific. Sorry, I am not familiar with "memes".

If you just need to insert/add additional event(s), you could copy/paste or drag them to the timeline with the Ripple tool engaged, which will move all the pertinent events accordingly.

That helps too rraud. Sorry I just wanted to add some stuff to a video thats almost done. I will try to get more acquainted with the ripple tool but making things into groups and then ungrouping it is something I can do.

@Jason-Pollard Right click media and select “Select all after cursor” is also useful.

Save versions as you go with unique names (001,002, etc) and if you do mess it up, you can go back.

+11. I mess up frequently, or decide later on, the change was not a good idea after all.

For multiple day editing, I usually name the project file, by program title, edit date and append with a, b, c, d, ect. 'Save as' after making a significant change. For instance; SSL_07.18a, SSL_07.18b, and so on. I also save plug-in presets, if I may question a change .
