Adding external effects during mixing

How do you do that? Is it possible with the latest version?
Does Vegas has the auxillary input option that PT has? Or some workaround?

I am considering moving from PTLE to Vegas, but I don't seem to find a good solution for doing the above.

Has it come to the point where we are not supposed to use external effects? Only plugins?

Thanks,

Lars

You can run with input minitoring on to hear it in your mix theoretically. I just run the fx outputs to a separate channel on my board for monitoring while recording them back into the project.

i am running vegas with a motu 2408mkIII. i have a lexicon reverb unit with spidif I/O and i simply connect it to the motu spdif i/o. i then create a buss and route it to the spdif channel. i use the aux send from the track i want the reverb on to send to the buss. then i create another track on the timeline and use this for the return. when i find or create what sound i want, i record it to the track and mix the level acordingly.
