adding jpegs to same cd as vcd

I would like to add the pictures I used to make the slide show (in MS3) to the same cd as the slide show(vcd). I would like to be able to play slide show on dvd player and still pull off pictures as jpeg files on computer or print service. Seems like I was able to do that using Click to DVD, but MS3 doesn't give me that option. I might just be confused :) I have MS3 and the MyDVD that came with it. I use Rocord Now Max (retail version) to write dvds/cds. I have tried "making movie" and saving it to hd, then putting on cd, but that doesn't work. Mixed media option doesn't rocognize vf files. My slide shows are small, so I hate to waste all that space on a cd by putting slide show on one and jpeg files on another. Any help? Thanks!

You shouldn't be using the .vf file when burning the disc with Record Now Max. Use the .mpg file that was rendered instead. That should take care of it.

Thanks. I tried that. Using the mpeg file (instead of vf) allowed me to play slide show on computer, but dvd player still doesn't recognize disc (error message: cannot play this disc). I did close the disc. Being able to play slideshow on computer is improvement, but would need to play it on dvd. I used an mpeg2 file. Would that make any difference (instead of mpeg 1)? ....
ok, went back later and tried mpeg1...same results. Any other suggestions?

It sounds like you're simply copying the mpeg file to CD instead of producing an (s)vcd. Does Record Now Max have the ability to author (s)vcd?

Hi. Yes Record Now Max will let you write a vcd (don't think it will so svcd) and I am successful in writing slideshow to vcd and viewing it on dvd player. The problem is, it won't let me add regular data files at same time. I tried a mixed media setting, but it only lets me add audio files with data files. I have done this sucessfully with click to dvd that came on vaio, but it has many less options than MS3, to I'd like to make this work. Would MyDVD come in to play anywhere? Any help would be appreciated.
