Adding Markers while recording

Hi Folks!

I am looking for a way to add markers while recording in Vegas. I know I can do it when recording audio tracks just by hitting the "m" key. I was hoping for a way to do this while recording video via firewire.

Has anyone ever done this in Vegas - or in any other application?

Thanks,

Andrew

The video capture utility is separate and not part of Vegas.
It has not been updated in many years afaik.

What i've done with some limited success is to start an audio track recording in Vegas at just about the same instant that i start capturing in VidCap, and then add the markers in Vegas. When i bring the captured video in to the timeline the markers are close enough to be useful.

Excellent Suggestion!
I will give that one a try.

I actually have a great Tascam 6-track MP3 recorder that allows me to add markers while it is recording. Unfortunately, Vegas doesn't seem to read those markers, although audition does.
I would just rather keep everything in one program is possible...I know, I'm a dreamer!
