adding media's audio to blu ray

it's been a while since I made a blu ray with dvd architect. I have the audio file (an ac3 file) in the same folder as the media. I seem to recall that it will grab the audio from that folder and I don't have to do anything more than insert the media. it's a 87 minute film, so I don't want to waste time renderig if there will be no audio. Is there a special step to add audio or will it just grab the file from the folder as long as it has the same name and is an ac3 file?
thanks.

If you don't see the audio in the Timeline panel and you don't hear audio when you preview your disc, you don't have audio and you will need to add it manually.

shoot I can't figure out how to add audio on my own. I know I've burned blu rays before and I had no issues. for anyone out there, when I burn a blu ray, how do I add media so that I have sound?
What are the steps you take when you add media?

You have the operation correct - as you render separate audio from video streams with same stem name in the same project directory for your authoring. That will produce an original sync track. You can add audio manually for additional tracks. Make sure you are not using DVDAProVer 6. use earlier vers

If you've rendered the audio for your VMS project and it doesn't get pulled into DVDAS with the video you can easily add it manually.
In the Project Overview window (usually on the left) double click the media entry.
In the Media Properties window (usually on the right) click the Track Media tab.
The Audio 1 entry will show 'None'. Click on Audio 1 then on the drop down arrow to the right. Select Replace then browse for your audio file and select Open. If you
rendered the audio file when you rendered the video file they should be in synch.
