Adding PowerPoint slides into Vegas

Is there a way to add PowerPoint slides into Vegas? I'm shooting a live presentation and the presentor has about 50 PowerPoint slides he wants edited into the proesentation. Some of these files have animation. What is the best way to do this. Thank you so much for the advice.

I had a need last week to get a powerpoint slide show into VV. I researched the forum, searched the net, and tried various suggestions and programs that claim to capture a powerpoint presentation into an AVI file. I didn't find a single program that lived up to my expectations. The programs that make such claims capture at about a 5 frame per second rate. This is totally unacceptable if there is any animation within the slide show. The one I was converting had tons of animation effects.

I solved the problem by using two computers. One that had an optional video out connection on the graphics card to play the powerpoint show. I connected the video out to my ADVC100 and captured the show into VV on the other computer. It worked flawlessly.
