Adding preset content/effects to a new project

Hi all,

It might be that I didn't search correctly, but I did tried to find some ideas on this subject, in the forum, but did not achieved much. :)

Please advice what would be the best way to import a lower-third (or be it a title, or a custom transition) that I created using three-four tracks, with various masking/cropping/motion, with one or two included .png file (a logo and another graphic element) into a new project, without the need to re-create them each time.

I would like to be able to reinsert such lower-third in a number of future projects, in a way that would hold the effects and other animations, but I am not sure what would be the best way.

I tried exporting with the green screen, for later keying out, but the results were not as good as I wished for.

The solution I found for the moment is to open the initial project, save it under a new name, delete the content and only keep the tracks/items for the lower third and them build up the new project as needed. Would this be the only way to do it? I am sure it isn't, but what would be you advice?

I hope I explained it well enough. :) If this doesn't make much sense, I can elaborate.

Thanks you!

Nesting should be the way to go. Simply use the *.veg file which contains your lower-third composite into a new Vegas Pro project just like it'd be a media clip.
