Adding speech bubbles to movie

Hi everyone!

I am newbie to film editing, and I currently use Sony Vegas Move Studio Platinum V8 Build 139. I want to add speech bubbles above the real people I have filmed as the 'video' I am making has music playing so nothing is actually spoken by the characters, so I thought it was a good idea to put bubbles over their heads cartoon style, any tips anyone???

Any help would be most gratefully received...

You create the speech bubbles in photoshop or GIMP, with transparent background, and save them as PNG, and you import them on the tracks above the video.
