adjust the UI a tad darker?

I tried search, then adjusting WINDOWS colors, but can't seem to change the basic gray. Would like to drop it a few notches per my personal preference if possible.
(I know it is setup as neutral grey on purpose, and linked to Windows color, but I can't seem to get they basic grey to go darker)

Vegas Pro 11: Options > Preferences > Display
UNCHECK "Use Vegas color scheme

Then in Windows colors, change one of the colors, and I can't find it again.

Wish Vegas had a color thing built in. It is quite nicer a little darker.

I have been requesting this features several times and just hope it can make it into adjustable UI.

I would also prefer to have it a tad darker.

I was convinced that I had seen a darker skin somewhere and searched all the options to no avail

Managed to get it darker but all video and audio events have a white base along with all scrolling zones beeing white as well.

Anyway to get these darker in Win 7?
