adjusting event audio

Is there a way in VMS to place "markers" along the audio track of a single even on the timeline, so that the audio can be adjusted by moving each marker up or down? I come from using Premiere, and I think it can be done, but Sony would use their own methods.
Say I wanted the audio to get quieter in the middle of an event, then come back up to the original level at the end of the event- how could I do that "rubber band" like adjustment in VMS?

Insert->Audio Envelope->Volume

At least that's the way in Vegas Pro. The menus might be slightly different in your version. Consult the Help section.

That is how it is down in VMS too. Once you add in the "envelope", right click on it and select add point. Then you can move it around.

OK, thank you- I figured that out, and I found that once I set the overall volume of an event, putting in that "envelope" allows me to "fine tune" it. I really like the fact that adjusting the overall audio level in VMS is a LOT smoother than in Premiere- which gives far fewer "choices"- '3,-8,-12,-22, etc!

Thanks again!
