Advice Needed: Job Pricing & Conversion Settings

I'm excited...I had an unexpected opportunity come my way today. This is actually my first ever opportunity to be paid for my services, and since I'm still a newbie with Vegas 5 I need some advice.

The potential customer needs a 5 min. 191MB MPEG2 converted for online streaming.

Could anyone please offer advice on what would be a fair price to charge for a job like this, and any tech-advice for file format(s) or rendering settings to help me get started.

I'll be searching online to learn more about streaming video online (I recall Spot? had a tutorial on this), and I already have a very good general understanding of some of the most often used file formats.

But are there some other "purchase" codecs I should consider getting - or does Vegas 5 have everything I need already for both viewing quality and smallest file size? I've heard mention of "compressionist" being an actual job title, so I thought it might be an area to look towards for future monies...ideas or thoughts appreciated.
