AE6.5 Pro compatibility w/ Vegas5?

Before I even START with the learning curve of AE6.5...are the files compatible with VV5? More than likely, I'll answer my own question here and say, yes...if rendered to a compatible format.

Can anybody lead me in the right direction to a site to ease the learning curve?

Aint no easy way to learn AE...gotta role up the shirt sleeves and pay attention to these training DVDs.....and practice your fanny off.
