After "Print To Tape" motion is jerky?

Hi,

Using VV3, (Win2000, PIII 1200mzh, 512 ram). Compared to my original tapes (Sony TRV900) where all motion is quite smooth, my edited files - printed back to the camera - are noticably quite jerky whenever there is motion beyond a small amount. In all other regards the video looks normal. Any ideas here would be much appreciated!

Is it possible that your settings are not at lower field first? This would cause this kind of problem.

Thanks for your suggestion...however "lower field first" is listed in the file attributes. Any other ideas?

I've been printing from the timeline. Perhaps I should try printing from the capture video pages so that there is no rendering. I've rendered all the edits and written one large file to print back. One thing I've noticed that when rendering edited DV back to DV the default setting seems be be "good" quality. Would checking "best" cause any problems like this? The effect I'm seeing almost looks like motion using "progressive scan" on the camera...
