after re-installing: 'an error occurred opening the media file:"

I recently had to reinstall my operating system and reinstall Vegas.
When I finally tried to open up a .veg project file, Vegas is not able to open up any of the .wav files associated with the project (or ANY .wav files whatsoever) . A box comes up and It says:
--------------------------------------------------
An error occurred opening the media file:
(filename here)

What do you want to do?
Ignore error and leave media offline
or
Specity a replacement file
--------------------------------------

anybody have an idea of what to do?? The program is pretty much useless right now.

Specify a "replacement" . What has happened is the files have been moved and where the veg. file tells the program to look for them is no longer where they are. If you go to where the file vegas is looking for is and select the same file as a replacement vgas will open it. if the rest of your files are in the same folder vegas will find these and ask if it should use the files in this location. Click yes to all. make sure you save in vegas or you'll have to go through this every time.
