I get this message when burn process starts 0x8004e715 (message missing)
Uh... this is a major problem. I never had a problem before updating. Can I load a project created in 1.0a into 1.0? If I have to recreate this project I will be very very upset. Have wasted several disks now.
My A104 (in external firewire case) works ok with 1.0a - I did have a "message missing" error message after 4 hours of recompressing (!) but this seems to have been caused by DVDA reporting incorrectly that there was no space in the Folder I created for rendering into.
Yours may not be the same problem, but just in case it is, check the figure on about the third page of Prepare DVD - "Free storage space in selected folder".
Mine did say Zero, then when I chose a Folder on the Root Directory of the same disc, it reported space correctly.
To save wasted discs, why don't you burn onto DVD-RW till everything's ok?
Thanks for the possible answer. I had indeed noticed the 0 space in the automatic location DVDA chooses but had ignored it. Mine did say 0 space available and so have changed to another directory and have a legitimate reading on space. Will see if this does the trick and will advise.
I've emailed RedEyeRob to request his project file to determine the exact cause of this problem. Based on the error code, the problem seems to be related to his specific project.
Ok, I'm not at home now to be able to email the project file. The problem for me was not the incorrect space data in the temp folder that was shown.
I spent a lot of time trying to eliminate aspects of the project to see what the problem was. I was getting the error right after all the rendering and preparing was done. It wouldn't create the files. I eliminated different MPEG files one by one and prepared it again until finally I found it was one MPEG2 file that was the problem. I still don't know what the problem is with the file. I created it the same way as all the others but will try to re-encode the file and import it.
Thank's Sonic SDB for your response and offer to rev the project file. It looks like it won't be needed at the moment. Would still send it if you wanted. Advise if you do. I haven't had any issues in not being able to burn yet with DVDA so thought it was the update and paniced.
If you have the original project file, (before you started making changes which fixed the problem) please still send it. We need to determine the original cause of this problem. Thanks.
